We wish to inform you that B'OFF will take place in Rakvere, July 2-5 2012. What is this B'OFF?

The festival for young theatres – B'OFF – is an off-festival for the international alternative theatre
festival Baltoscandal, where creative works of young people from all categories of performing arts
are welcome. While the city of Rakvere is filled with theatre experiences of Baltoscandal, young
performers can fulfil their creative aspirations on B'OFF's open stages.

B'OFF is free from the limitations of trying to be professional or amateur, alternative or classical,
cliché or ultra-original. B'OFF simply is. The colour and contents of this theatre festival depends
solely on the youngsters' creativity, and absolutely nothing else. At this festival, youngsters being
youngsters, learning from each other and willingness to create meaningful art are valued. It is a
festival with no unfair and abstract rating and ordering of performers, but with thought-through
feedback and meaningful discussions. It is a festival where everything is possible.

B'OFF, Baltoscandal's little brother, brings a breath of fresh young theatre for the fourth time; the
first festival took place in 2006. The festival is organised by the alumni of the Rakvere Youngsters'
Theatre Club.

This year, several groups from all over Europe are invited to the festival. Estonian young theatre
enthusiasts are welcome to present their own special projects and performances created for the
festival.

But this is not all. A whole performance from beginning to end will be created during the
festival. The basis of this performance is a play written during a year by the young playwrights of
Drakademia. The actors for the parts will be chosen at the beginning of the festival from among
all participants of B'OFF. The first and last ever performance will take place on the last day of
Baltoscandal.
